Our helpers are volunteers who have a variety of life, professional and volunteering experience. As a team we meet several times during the year to prepare for our big week in Lourdes.

Jane is our group leader and is married to Denis who she met in Lourdes with HCPT. She is a deputy headteacher of a primary school so she is kept very busy during term time. Jane’s hobbies are reading, going on country walks and visiting castles. She really enjoys going to Lourdes with group 14 and always looks forward to Easter as it is the best week of the year! Denis is married to Jane, our group leader and they have one daughter - Eleanor. His interests are Clay pigeon shooting, cars and sampling real ale! Denis first went to Lourdes with HCPT in 1984 when he was 16 and has been going regularly since. When he's not enjoying himself he works as a freelance internal auditor. |
| Crispin: Group Nurse | |

Crispin lives in Bedford with his wife, Sarah and their two children, Abraham and Esther. Crispin is a children's nurse, now working on a hospital redevelopment project in London and he is travelling with Group 14 as their nurse. In his spare time he helps with youth activities in his parish, including Confirmation preparation. His hobbies and interests include architecture, gardening, cars and reading; the Harry Potter books are amongst his favourite reads! |

Sukaina lives in London. She has one younger brother. Sukaina first travelled to Lourdes with Group 14 in 2007 and she’s looking forward to returning this year. In her spare time Sukaina’s hobbies include reading, listening to music, watching films, cooking and making new friends. |

Elizabeth is married to Les, lives in Croydon and has three children and three grandchildren. She is a retired midwife, working occasionally for the midwifery bank. Elizabeth’s interests include sailing, gardening, reading, travel and architecture. Her first visit to Lourdes with HCPT was over forty years ago! |

Anna lives in Purley with her husband, Toni and their youngest child, Maria. Anna has always enjoyed activities with children, in the past leading guide camps and running a mother and toddler group. She teaches part time in a secondary school and helps with various activities in her parish. Her other interests include gardening, reading, animals, travelling and learning about other cultures. |

Richard lives in Purley. He is an accountant currently working in a very small bank that no-one’s heard of! Richard is a member of Round Table, where he met Denis and Jane, and this, as well as chairing another small local charity and a plethora of other charitable pursuits keeps him busy. An Anglican (although higher up the candle than most Catholics), Richard has been to Lourdes twice so far. He is looking forward to the zoo and Gavarnie. |

Jonno lives in Scotland with his wife, Nicole, who travelled with Group 14 in 2008. Apart from the Trust Mass, Jonno enjoys going up to the mountains near Lourdes for Mass with the West Indies branch of the HCPT; he’s really looking forward to going to the zoo again. Jonno enjoys watching films, reading and supporting Southampton Football Club. |

Dominic usually travels with Group 11 who, sadly, are not travelling this year and so we, happily, get the pleasure of his company! In his “real” life he is an engineer based in Farnborough. We look forward to meeting him. |

Eleanor first went to Lourdes before she was born! As she get older and is better able to take part she enjoys the week more and more - particulary the singing! |

Beatrix grew up in a tiny village in Hungary. After university she moved to the capital, Budapest where she worked for IBM. Beatrix moved to England about a year ago to join her fiancée, Dominic, who introduced her to the wonders of Lourdes in 2007. She is looking forward to the laughter and the small miracles happening each day. In her free time Beatrix loves to explore new places, to potter around in the garden or watch costume dramas. |

Father Gregory, the youngest of six children, was ordained on 13th July 2002 and is a priest of the Diocese of Ijebu-Ode in Nigeria. Until his appointment in 2008 to St. John the Baptist, Purley, Fr Gregory was pastor of St John Vianney Church, Iperu-Remo in Nigeria. Fr Gregory enjoys travelling, singing and meeting people. He has never been to Lourdes before, so he is really looking forward to an amazing week with the children this Easter. |

Joe is “old enough, thank you!” He has three brothers and four sisters, and grew up first in Dublin and then in Wales. Joe lives in Chatteris in Cambridgeshire. He has a daughter, Laura, who is 21 years old and is studying to be a radiographer (that’s a person who takes X-rays). This will be Joe’s first visit to Lourdes and he is looking forward to meeting lots of new people and finding out what it’s like to be a helper. |

| Paulette was born and raised in the Seychelles but has lived in the UK for the last 20 years. She now lives in Purley with her husband and 2 children. Paulette is looking forward to her first visit to Lourdes with Group 14. She enjoys dancing to the Seychelles Creole music, cooking, swimming, tennis and inparticular, entertaining guests. | |
